No one would believe that this collection of JDM cars would be found where it was: in a dusty old Dubai barn.
The owner says the collection stems from a deep admiration of Japanese automotive culture, and says he’s travelled to Japan nearly 30 times to add to his garage.
Inside, you’ll find some classic Japanese cars like Datsuns 240Zs and Nissan Bluebirds, all in various conditions.
Now, each one is getting revived by a team of three mechanics and a painter.

You can find a collection of JDM cars in a random Dubai barn
The collector, known as Ebrahim, built his garage full of JDM cars out of a deep respect for Japanese automotive culture.
All of the JDM classics can be found in varying stages of restoration as Ebrahim and his team work on rebuilding them one by one.
Ebrahim has visited Japan 30 times in his life and will find cars there to add to his collection, so his Dubai barn houses the most eclectic collection of Japanese cars you’ve ever seen.
The arid Dubai climate helps with preserving the cars from rusting too quickly, which is what Ebrahim and his team of three mechanics and a painter are banking on as each car takes a lot of time to restore.
What sort of Japanese classics are in his collection?
Ebrahim loves to restore the cars he finds rotting away in Japanese fields or rice paddies, and even though they come from humble beginnings, the cars that he does find and restore are impressive and downright iconic.
The collection includes a street-legal Nissan R34 GT-R M-Spec Nür, just one of two in the whole of the UAE, as well as Datsuns 240Zs and Nissan Bluebirds.
If you want to find three Hakosuka GT-Rs, a Toyota Supra A80, a first-gen Mazda Cosmo and even many different varieties of Nissan Skylines, then this garage is the place for you.
As well as some JDM icons, the Dubai barn is also home to Porsches, a Rolls-Royce and a Mercedes-Benz.
It’s a true treasure trove, and we can’t wait to see the result of Ebrahim’s restoration project.
