American man who’s had Tesla Model 3 SR+ for four years and over 200,000 miles reports in on how it’s performed

The owner of a 2021 Tesla Model 3 SR+ has shared how his EV has performed after four years of ownership and more than 200,000 miles on the clock.

The man bought the Tesla Model 3 in spring 2021 when it had just 20 miles on the clock.

Since then, he’s added more than 200,000 miles to the odometer.

In a post on Reddit, he’s revealed how the car has held up during that time.

As more motorists choose EVs as their daily drivers, we’ve seen plenty of folks happy to share their experiences after several years, and many miles of ownership, like this Model 3 owner ran a battery test on his five-year-old, 100k mile car or the guy who detailed how his Model S’s batteries coped after clocking up more than one million miles.

In a post on Reddit, the owner of a Tesla Model 3 SR+ revealed that his four-year-old EV was ‘still going wrong’ after 200,000 miles.

In the post, he said he bought it a little over four years ago with 20 miles on the clock, and at 80,000 miles, an error message popped up telling him to replace the battery, which he did.

He said the replacement was ‘100 percent covered by the warranty’ and that he even drove around on the ‘bad battery’ for a couple of weeks until the replacement arrived at his local dealership without any problems. But maybe don’t try that at home.

The Tesla driver went on to say that he had also been ‘ton of tires’ and had to clean the AC condenser every three weeks in the summer.

However, he went on to say that was pretty much all he had done since owning the car

“I’m still on the same brake pads with no other issues with the car,” he wrote.

“By far, the lowest maintenance car I have ever owned!” High praise indeed.

And he’s not alone, fellow Tesla-owning Reddit users replied to the post, sharing similar observations.

“My 2021 M3 LR has 80k miles and is going strong on the original battery, hoping to get to 200k,” one wrote.

“Have very similar experience, but without the need to replace the battery (or anything actually). Around 250,000km driven,” a second said.

“Got my 2021 around the same time. March. 115k on it. Need nothing but tires. Battery health is at 83 percent. I drive it hard and Supercharge often,” someone else wrote. The post American man who’s had Tesla Model 3 SR+ for four years and over 200,000 miles reports in on how it’s performed appeared first on Supercar Blondie.
