The team, which is owned by Matt Kaulig, will continue to be led by Chris Rice, who is being elevated from president to CEO of Kaulig Racing. Kaulig Racing, which debuted in 2016, hired Rice right out of the gate. “Chris Rice is the real deal,” Kaulig said. “From his early days on pit road to President and now CEO of Kaulig Racing, his journey reflects the hard work, dedication, and passion that define this sport. Chris was with me from the very beginning, helping build Kaulig Racing from the ground up, and his leadership has been instrumental in shaping the culture and success of our team. I’m proud to call him a partner, a leader, and a friend.” Kaulig Racing currently has two Cup Series charters, fielding entries for veteran AJ Allmendinger and Ty Dillon, grandson of fellow team owner Richard Childress. Over the years, Kaulig has developed a strong team, which has notably made waves in the Xfinity Series. They have 27 victories in less than 10 years of competition, with Allmendinger winning 16 of those. He also qualified for the Championship 4 on three occassions.
