Aston Martin unveils most powerful internal combustion SUV on the planet

Aston Martin is one of the world’s premier supercar brands.

The British marque is historically renowned for some of the best cars to ever hit the roads.

It has recently released a facelifted version of its SUV, the DBX.

And it just so happens to be the most powerful ICE-powered SUV in the world.

Aston Martin DBX: British brand’s bold entry into SUVs

When it was first announced, the DBX made waves and headlines all over the car world.

Aston Martin, in equal measure, caused a fair amount of shock after entering into the SUV market.

Whilst being related to the Vantage, the DBX is built on its own, dedicated platform.

July 2020 saw the debut of the crossover DBX – and it surprised many people.

When first released, it was praised for its performance and handling abilities.

In contrast, some said there were a few quality control issues here and there.

The newer DBX units appear to have addressed those issues, though.

It has been universally praised for bringing Aston Martin’s renowned performance.

But it has been praised for providing much more practicality at the same time.

British marque reveals the DBX S

Yesterday, Aston Martin pulled the covers off the performance version of the DBX.

This souped-up DBX is purely powered by the internal combustion engine.

The updated crossover SUV utilises the 4.0 liter, twin-turbocharged V8 from the DBX707.

In fact, it has borrowed the turbochargers from the incoming Valhalla hypercar.

That all equates to around 717bhp, as well as a top speed of 193mph.

In case you’re worried about acceleration, don’t be.

The new DBX S will accelerate from 0-60 in 3.1 seconds.

Aston Martin CEO Adrian Hallmark is more than pleased with the work that has been done.

He said, “The introduction of DBX S…sends a powerful statement of intent about our ambitions not just for DBX, but for the Aston Martin marque.”

It’s safe to say that Mr Hallmark may well have a point there. The post Aston Martin unveils most powerful internal combustion SUV on the planet appeared first on Supercar Blondie.
