This Canadian woman claims she’s found a way for the critics of the Tesla Cybertruck to warm up to it.

Christel Virag knows that her daily driver is a controversial choice, but she’s standing by her car.

In fact, the Ontario resident is convinced that her design choice is enough to win the naysayers’ approval.

Whether or not it will win over Tesla critics remains to be seen.

How this Canadian woman is trying to win over critics of the Tesla Cybertruck

Christel Virag knows full well that her Tesla Cybertruck is a car that can evoke some negative opinions.

Whether it be for its design or for the controversy swirling around CEO Elon Musk, there’s a certain segment of the population that doesn’t count themselves as fans.

However, Virag is convinced she’s found something that can turn the tide of public opinion – a peachy-pink exterior.

She found that people were more receptive to the Cybertruck EV once they saw it had a peachy-pink stainless steel body.

“The Cybertruck is so weird looking, people either love it or hate it,” Virag told the Toronto Star.

“But it’s a perfect driving advertisement, because it is weird looking and because of its color.”

She initially had some apprehensions about driving the Cybertruck to the US, given the growing backlash against Tesla.

But she found the reception was warmer than expected.

“There was no problem, and everyone who saw it was giving it a thumbs up,” she admitted.

“I think [they did that] because it was pink.”

Virag also owns a Cadillac Escalade and Lamborghini Aventador – both in shades of pink – but the Cybertruck is her absolute favorite.

Not all wraps have had such peachy receptions

When it comes to Cybertruck wraps, we’ve seen some pretty wild additions over the years.

There was the rust bucket design, which was…an acquired taste, to put it politely.

The Superman design was a bit more of a crowd pleaser,

And then there was the Cybertruck wrapped like a F-150, which some saw as a dig towards Ford.

That’s not for us to say.

But what we will say is that we’re glad Virag’s peach design got the thumbs-up treatment.
