These classic cars have received a bespoke cartoon twist ahead of an upcoming art show in New York.

The change sees the cars looking a long way from their original appearance.

This was brought to life by a talented artist with a clear and unique vision.

Let’s dive right in, shall we?

Classic cars have a specific look

From muscle cars to classic two-door sedans, when you think of classic cars, a specific image comes to mind.

They are often considered old or retro; however, that narrative is about to be well and truly challenged.

Thanks to this new twist on classic autos, we bet you’ve never seen them looking this way before.

A new project has quite literally painted these cars in a different light, and you’re sure to be impressed.

Classic… but with a twist

The project was created by talented artist Joshua Vides, and the artist shared the process of creating the enhanced vehicles online.

The cars were painted by hand, and intricate details were added to make them worlds apart from when they first left the factory floor.

Part of the jazzed up fleet includes a Mercedes and a Porsche, but with a new look.

Think Take On Me by A-ha, as the theme is very much the same, which we’re seriously impressed by.

But the best part about this incredible collection is that it can be viewed in person.

The collection came to life with the help of Cutonce Studio, with Josiah noting in a post caption: “I didn’t hire a production company or agency to assist with all of this… it was all @cutonce.studio or as we internally like to call it, ‘4 Guys & 2 Trucks.'”

The cars are coming to New York

The show has already enjoyed success in Los Angeles, and it’s clear to see why.

Now, New Yorkers can now get in on the action as well, as the cars arrive on their doorstep.

Check out the work below, or if you’re a New York City resident, check it out for yourself in person!

Check Engine Light opens on May 1st in the West Village.
