Finding a bargain Porsche 911 on Marketplace is a dream for many.
In fact, this dream-like fantasy appeared to come true for one Porsche enthusiast when a Porsche 911 advertisement went viral online this week.
This California man thought he’d hit the jackpot when he saw it.
But unfortunately, there was one hell of a catch.

A lot of people love spending time scrolling the internet searching for potential project cars.
They often turn out to be dream finds too.
This week in California, car fans thought they were experiencing a yellow-colored mirage at first.
But it was indeed real 1974 Porsche 911 for the mere price of $15,000.
Of course, many wondered whether the price was simply too good to be true.
The exterior didn’t give much away, with some light damage and age-related marks.
A taillight had a lens missing, and the paint was slightly chalky. Not ideal, but far from a deal breaker.
Much like the exterior, the interior had seen better days.
Looking on the inside, the dashboard has been pretty obviously crackled.
There’s also quite a lot of filth to be cleaned, as well as upholstery that has split open.
Again, these are far from being deal-breakers in any way, shape or form.
In fact, for a 1974 Porsche 911, all of the gauges, glass and trim pieces are still in place.
However, things took a turn for the worse when they popped the rear compartment.
Opening the engine compartment revealed… no engine or transaxle.
As you can probably imagine, this would be a massive deal-breaker for most.
However, it could serve as a fantastic project car for the right buyer.
Given that this car costs just $15,000, is leaves a lot of money to do important work.
And what makes this deal even sweeter is that the seller has an authentic title for the car.
