This Dodge Viper is one of the most famous of its kind after spending 28 years hoisted in the air above a Kentucky dealership, and after shocking everyone with its state, it is now back on its trophy stand.
The Dodge Viper deserves to be held in incredibly high esteem throughout the world.
So much so that it could be crowned as the best sports car series ever made in the States.
One dealership in Kentucky has done just that with a Viper under its sign for three decades. And after discovering the secret inside the flagship car, the Dodge is 40 feet in the air once again.

Original Dodge Viper first-gen gets restored after being on a pole for 28 years
For years, drivers in Kentucky had been scooting about their daily business and heading straight by the Aubodon Chrysler dealership, which stood tall as a notable landmark, thanks to its Dodge Viper statue.
Hoisted 40 feet in the air, the Viper was always presumed to be a mock-up of the classic sports car without its electrics or engine.
However, in November 2024, the car was taken down to be cleaned, only for the Kentucky dealership owner to find that the car isn’t just a shell, but in fact a working model with a roaring V10.
With only 12 miles on the clock, the Dodge Viper was shipped off to a local garage to be restored, having been taken over by generations of bird nests and some serious weather degradation.
As documented by Scott Harris, a friend of Aubudon Chrysler owner Larry Bennett, the Viper has been given a complete overhaul in its bodywork, with the fresh kit being sprayed in its original vibrant red.
Back on its throne
The fully functioning Dodge Viper has now been put back on its pedestal and is sitting pretty in the Kentucky skyline.
Using a crane, a hoist, and straps around each wheel, the car was airlifted back onto its perch and safely reconnected to its pole.
The timeless Dodge Viper will likely stay above the Kentucky dealership for another handful of decades until its time to be refreshed. It has once again taken its place as a staple of the community.
This isn’t the only genius marketing move of its kind, either, as the same owner also erected a Chevy Corvette on a taller sign in Indiana. The post Dodge Viper removed from Kentucky dealership sign after 28 years has been reinstated and looks incredible appeared first on Supercar Blondie.
