Ford is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, one of the world’s biggest car brands.
The American marque has been a dominant figure in the car industry for over 120 years.
It recently discontinued one of its most popular models.
And now Ford has unveiled a farewell website for the vehicle.

If you cast your mind all the way back to 2007, you might remember Ford unveiling a new car.
The Blue Oval marque unveiled the Edge (no, not the lead guitarist from U2).
Instead, the Edge was released as a compact, crossover SUV, sharing a platform with the Ford Fusion.
Straight away, it was recognised as one of the best family-friendly vehicles money could buy.
Interestingly, the Edge came with three different engine choices throughout its life.
The smallest option available was the 2.0 liter, EcoBoost turbo inline-4.
On the other end of the spectrum, you could get a 3.7 liter, Duratec V6.
Ford’s mid-range crossover underwent two facelifts, upgrading the interior over time.
The Edge found itself as a very popular vehicle for a variety of reasons.
For one thing, many absolutely loved the amount of space within the cabin.
Others singled out the comfort and value of the Edge as an everyday family car.
It was often praised during its life for its noise-cancelling technology used within the car itself.
Sadly, the Edge began to suffer a decline in sales from 2018 onwards.
During its lifespan, the Edge has sold more than two million units across all territories.
But nothing lasts forever and the final Edge for the US market rolled off the line in Oakville, Ontario in April 2024.
To the company’s credit, Ford acknowledged it was the end of an era and put together an entire webpage dedicated to farewelling the Edge.
It notes that, whilst the Edge is retired, there are several other offerings within the Ford range.
This year, Ford Authority reported that there were less than 1000 units left in gross dealer stock.
It means that time is running out to get your hands on a Ford Edge should you still want to.The post Ford discontinued a model so popular there’s a farewell website for it appeared first on Supercar Blondie.
