Chinese autos are on the rise

However you look at it, China is ahead in the car world.

The country has a variety of different manufacturers all making their mark in different way.

From Xiaomi, whose SU7 factory became a hotspot for gearheads, to Chinese upstart Omoda, there have been some impressive launches.

In fact, we even hopped on a plane there to look at the Mercedes-Benz Vision V‘s interior, which you can watch above.

However, this EV might just blow your mind a little bit more than the rest.

This electric EV SUV has power

The V23 SUV, a fully electric vehicle, was launched in China last year by iCar – a brand under the belt of auto giant Chery.

However, as you’ve probably guessed, iCar sounds more like a product from tech giant Apple than an automaker.

So, to avoid any legal issues cropping up – Apple is said to own that name – Chery is reportedly changing it outside of its home country. It’ll become the iCaur.

The V23 is described by the brand itself as being ‘a pure electric A-class SUV that is good-looking, easy to drive, easy to use and fun to play.’

It comes in a variety of different colors and reportedly has up to 311 miles of range on a single charge for the top-spec models.

The battery is also equipped with a ’10mm battery protection armor,’ too.

Inside, it comes with an ‘easy-to-operate’ large central screen.

There is a range of versions available, so drivers can take their pick, depending on their needs.

All three have a maximum speed of 140KMH, too, with high-spec models having more flashy features such as ‘full-speed adaptive cruise control’.

The models are reportedly making their way across the seas to the UK. The V23 will be just one of the models on offer, with subsequent cars to follow. The post Forget the iPhone, this iCar is an EV tank with 311 miles of range appeared first on Supercar Blondie.
