On a new episode of Radio Andy’s “The Julia Cunningham Show,” special guest Heidi Montag opened up about the 2010 episode of “The Hills” where she first showed her mom her face after extensive plastic surgery.
“It was really hard,” Heidi told Julia. “That was kind of the end of my relationship with my mom for a long time, and now we’re really close again, because I love my mom … I think she was at a really desperate place, first of all, to see me, because I think she was very concerned, and I hadn’t seen her. And I get that as a mom, too.”

She continued, “But I said to her, I was like, ‘Whatever you say,’ because the producers went there a week before to butter her up and do all this stuff and blah, blah, blah. And I was like, ‘I’m just telling you, they’re flying me in a jet there. Obviously, this is a big deal ’cause they don’t do that. They’re putting a lot of money into this, and whatever you say, I’m holding you accountable.’ I was like, ‘I don’t care what producers are telling you. Whatever you say is gonna be super important and serious.’ I was like, ‘I’m not in a good place. I can barely talk. Just had my chin sawed off, my ears are tucked back. I’m not a person right now. I’m very fragile. I’m not your normal daughter.'”
Heidi added, “So, I had that forewarning, and, yeah, it just all — it didn’t play out well, and I don’t think I talked to my mom for like two years after that.”
