During an upcoming interview on Radio Andy’s “Smith Sisters Live,” special guest Jake Shane opened up about Taylor Swift’s forthcoming album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”
“We have a countdown in my house, me and my roommate, Brett … I relate stan culture — and I’m so serious when I say this — to modern-day religion,” Jake explained. “I have my church that I pray to. I have my bible verses … And so when [the album] comes, we’ll listen to it together, we’ll film our reaction, we’ll do our rankings.”
He added, “The best feeling is the hangover. The morning after, you wake up, and you’re like, ‘Life is worth living, because there is an entire new album of my favorite artist to listen to today.'”
Jake also revealed that his favorite Taylor Swift songs are “The Archer,” “Daylight,” “‘tis the damn season,” and “Call It What You Want.”
Lauren, Rachel, and Mariah Smith — entertainment experts and real-life sisters — take listeners on a daily detail-obsessed deep dive into pop culture during “Smith Sisters Live,” 9–10am ET every weekday on Radio Andy (Ch. 102).
Jake Shane’s full episode premieres Tuesday, August 26. Stream episodes after their premiere on the SiriusXM app.
