Immaculate General Lee impersonator is waiting for a ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ obsessive to take it home

The General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard is one of the most iconic TV cars of all time, and now a replica of the Dodge Charger is looking for a new home.

As the modern-day Charger drifts further from its muscle car roots, ditching V8s in favor of electrified powertrains, enthusiasts are turning to the classics.

With no shortage of vintage models out there, it’s only a matter of time before fans find their perfect match.

And for someone obsessed with the Dukes of Hazzard, this 1969 tribute might be as close to the real deal as it gets.

A true Dukes of Hazzard icon

This stunning General Lee replica captures the spirit of the iconic TV car down to the last detail.

Painted in Flame Red with all the expected decals, including the unmistakable Confederate flag on the roof and ’01’ on the doors, this tribute car is packed with era-correct features.

From the signature Dixie horn to a roll bar and 15-inch American Racing wheels, it looks ready to outrun the sheriff or leap through the air over a public fountain.

Inside, it sports vinyl upholstery, a CB radio, and an AM radio (though it’s currently unwired).

The auction ends soon

That said, the car isn’t without its flaws, although it’s definitely in better shape than these General Lee Dodge Chargers that lie abandoned in a Georgia scrapyard.

The ad reveals a few quirks and issues, such as a sticky driver’s door, cracks in the center console, a faulty glove box latch, and a burnt taillight bulb.

The windshield washer doesn’t work either.

Still, the seller notes that the car has a new battery and includes some intriguing extras: service records, a compound bow with arrows, a mounting bracket for the CB radio, and multiple keys.

Under the hood sits a 383-cubic-inch (6.3-liter) V8 making roughly 335 horsepower, paired with a three-speed automatic transmission.

Power is sent to the rear wheels, of course, and the odometer reads just over 51,000 miles, with about 500 of those added by the current owner since 2014.

The Dodge Charger is currently listed on Cars & Bids, with bidding sitting at $33,000.

The auctions ends on July 30, 2025, so if you want a piece of TV history, you better act fast.

While it might not fetch as much as an original screen-used General Lee might command, this lovingly crafted replica might just be the next best thing.

If you are simply interested in looking at the original cars in Dukes of Hazzard, you’re in luck, as there’s a tiny museum in Nashville that has exactly what you want.
