Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, is taking parenting multitasking to the next level by using his Meta Smart Glasses to learn to braid hair.

Girl-dads and moms alike need to gain some essential new skills as kids – and their hair – grow and AI-enabled tech can help.

It’s the next phase in the billionaire’s quest to use AI-enabled tech to bring people in the Metaverse closer to loved ones.

Enter the Ray Ban Meta Smart Glasses.

The clip posted to his Instagram account is captioned “Finally learned to braid. Thanks, Meta AI”.

Zuckerberg approaches a vanity in his daughter’s bedroom wearing the AI-enabled glasses.

“Hey Meta, how do you make a braid?” he says, picking up a brush.

An AI voice then responds, walking him through the process step by step as he films the back of his daughter’s head.

“Alright, well here goes nothing,” he said as he executes a pretty impressive first attempt at a hair braid.

He checks in with his daughter to check that he’s not tugging too hard.

“I’m not the most experienced braider but I think we can get this done,” he said.

As he stands back to admire a job-well done, he shares the results with his co-parent Dr Priscilla Chan.

“Hey Meta, send a photo to Priscilla on Whatsapp,” he says as the camera shutter sounds without him having to lift another finger.

Three bicep emojis show that Zuckerberg is feeling pretty pleased with the parenting win.

However, people are divided in the comments section as to how useful the AI-enabled tech of the Meta Smart Glasses is.

“New girl dad responsibly!” Priscilla said.

“I love this example for three reasons,” said another commenter.

“Number one enabling bonding between parent and child, the hands-free aspect of it, and the clarity of the video! Great post!!!”

“Adorable and one of the most important skills for sure,” a third said.
