This Kansas man sold his Bugatti Veyron and Ferrari 599 for a heartbreaking reason forced by the modern world.

Tyler Hoover, host of Hoovies Garage, announced that he was parting ways with his 2008 Bugatti Veyron after nine months and his 2007 Ferrari 599 after three years.

Both of the cars had been costly to him.

But it wasn’t just in finances that keeping the cars didn’t make sense – it wasn’t working with his viewership anymore.

Why this YouTuber was selling his Bugatti Veyron and Ferrari 599

These two cars are stunning, standing out even in Hoover’s already magnificent collection.

But sadly, he was parting ways with them both.

“Supercars and hypercars on YouTube is so played out, so overdone,” Hoover said.

“Every day, somebody is flexing their new supercar or hypercar purchase, and nobody cares anymore.

“I pivoted back into hoopties [Old and often dilapidated cars] and my views are way higher.

“That’s how Hoovies Garage started and seems to be what people like.”

When YouTube is your bread and butter, it makes sense to go where the views are.

“It makes zero sense on a YouTuber’s income to have a hypercar like this, but so many are doing it,” Hoover said.

A lot of money had been spent on both cars – the Veyron was a $14.5k monthly lease, while the Ferrari 599 had high maintenance costs.

But both had failed to pull in the views and the bucks, so it was time for them to go.

In the past, he’d made no secret of the regrets that came with the Veyron, calling it the ‘dumbest purchase’ he’d ever made.

And it only took six months for him to arrive at the conclusion that it’d been a mistake.

A lot of cars have come through Hoovies Garage

Over the years, Hoovies Garage has seen a lot of cars, some with more faults than others.

There was the $9,999 Rolls-Royce, which had one issue after another, and the $300,000 Mercedes SLR McLaren.

All in all, his 25-strong garage is what he calls the ‘dumbest car collection’ – and those are his words, not ours.
