Multi-millionaire car enthusiast Neil Clifford has revealed he had his Alpine A110 for months before finding a ‘hidden feature’.
The Alpine A110 was originally produced between 1963 and 1977 and was revived in 2017.
Its relaunch led to the stunning sports car gaining a whole new set of fans.
Among them was car-loving Kurt Geiger boss Neil Clifford, who branded the vehicle ‘one of his favorite cars’.

The car enthusiast said the Alpine 110 was ‘one of his favorites’
Originally launched in 1963 as a ‘berlinette’ – better known these days as a coupe – the Alpine A110 was a successor to the A108.
The French-made vehicle punched well above its weight and left behind a strong legacy as a successful and iconic rally car.
So much so that Alpine decided to revive the legendary A110 in 2017 with a brand-new version.
Much like the original, the new Alpine A110 has amassed plenty of fans since its relaunch.
One happy A110 owner is Neil Clifford, the boss of clothing brand Kurt Geiger and a big-time gearhead.
Clifford recently appeared on The Car Podcast where he spoke about the car, saying it was ‘one of his favorites’.
However, he went on to say that while he loved the vehicle, he had one major gripe: the size of its trunk – or boot as it’s known in England.
But it turned out to offer more storage than he’d realized.
It took him months to find the ‘hidden’ feature
“One of my favorite cars that I own has the most pathetic boot, which is the Alpine A110,” he said.
“I owned the car for two months before I realized it had a boot. It’s really, really, really true because I’d read the Autocar test and you know it’s the best car that’s ever been built since the 1970s, and the only problem is the storage.
“But I could only find the back boot.
“And then it took me a couple of months to realize there is a front boot.”
Even with the extra space, Clifford said the front truck was ‘underwhelming’.
