North Idaho guys buy $2.5K worst 4X4 on Facebook Marketplace but get a surprise in person

These North Idaho guys bought the ‘worst’ 4×4 on Facebook Marketplace for $2.5k, but got a surprise when they saw it in person.

YouTube channel Grind Hard Plumbing had initially sworn off buying any more 4x4s from the online market, but a 1980s Camaro had them reconsidering.

They weren’t getting their hopes up, but seeing the car in person left them stunned.

Would they be filled with regret or with relief?

Facebook Marketplace has some interesting cars on there

To say that Facebook Marketplace has a varied array of cars would be an understatement.

We’ve previously seen some brothers purchase an F-350 Super Duty from the site, while a rare open-cockpit Lamborghini Gallardo concept car also made it on there.

Does a Pokémon car and a Lightning McQueen wrapped Mazda ring any bells?

There’s a lot of interesting stuff on there, and there’s clearly an audience for it.

YouTube channel Grind Hard Plumbing is one such demographic, as they’ve repeatedly invested in ‘bad 4x4s’ from the resale site.

Would their latest be a triumph or a tribulation?

What these North Idaho guys discovered with this $2.5k 4×4

Although the car was flagged up as being ‘the worst 4×4 on Facebook’, seeing it in the flesh – or the metal – told a different story.

Well, to a degree.

There were still problems with the car, like holes in the body of the interior.

But the crew were working around the flaws – ‘Who wants to sit in the backseat of a Camaro anyway?’ – and highlighting the good points.

In particular, they were impressed that the chairs weren’t torn, and just needed a wet wipe rub down to get clean.

The Camaro was the original owner’s high school car, and was later converted to a 4×4.

The engine did start, but it wasn’t running smoothly.

A drive also brought up other issues, like misfiring and poor angling.

But it worked a lot better than they’d anticipated, and that was the main thing.

Dubbing it a ‘Mad Max machine in training’, it certainly has the look, they toyed with the idea of supercharging it in future videos.

That sounds like an awesome idea, so it’ll be fun to see how that pans out.
