The former employee of NFT marketplace OpenSea has been accused of being involved in the infamous AnubisDAO rug pull in 2021. Kevin Pawlak left OpenSea in June 2023. He was linked with the unknown identity 0xSisphus and was also involved with many suspected business dealings. NFT Ethics on October 6, has tagged OpenSea at X (formerly Twitter) that the Head of Ventures, Kevin Pawlak has been involved with suspicious business dealings with Anubis and pump and dump activities linked with the unknown account under his pseudonymous identity 0xSisyphus.  Besides the NFT Ethics claim of Pawlak being involved in dubious dealings, Lookonchain, the blockchain analytics platform also said that he played the main role in hyping the Anubis project just before the project transferred raised funds to the sequence of external accounts. The social media allegations of Pawlak’s engagement with the AnubisDAO rug pull in 2021 and claims that he played an important role in promoting the AnubisDAO project, were responded to by one of OpenSea’s representatives. The OpenSea representative clarified that they are unaware of Pawlak’s involvement and also highlighted that he has a limited scope while working there. He worked in a non-management position. The company’s spokesperson said that they have no information and connection with the Anubis as it took place before his time at OpenSea. Anubis has raised 13, 556 Ether worth $6 million worth at that time from the crypto investors. However, the investors faced an instant loss due to the transfer of funds immediately to other accounts.
