This man in Oregon bought an bargain Bentley at 88% off and after snatching the car for a steal, he’s now revealed the true maintenance costs.

The car owner managed to get the car for a cut price, but like any vehicle, other costs subsequently followed.

Elements of the luxury car needed replacing, so instead of paying an eye-watering sum, the gearhead managed to find a solution.

Bentleys are the epitome of luxury, thanks to the car brand’s unparalleled suave interior and customization options.

But, for such splendour, usually comes a hefty spend, unless you manage to get your hands on a rare deal, which is exactly what this man did.

YouTuber TheStradman revealed that he managed to snap up a bargain Bentley Continental for an unbeatable price, but the purchase price was just the tip of the iceberg when it came to opening his wallet.

“This Bentley Continental cost me $17,000, this thing is beautiful,” he explained as she showed off his pride and joy.

He says it was sitting in a parking lot for seven or eight years, and he managed to get it for 88 percent off the price, which is a big bargain, you have to admit.

“I spent about 12 percent of the original purchase price to buy this thing”, he continued

But, it turns out that there was a big price to pay for the bargain Bentley, and it came in the form of maintenance costs.

Maintenance doesn’t come cheap with any vehicle, but for a brand such a Bentley, drivers often expect to be paying more from the outset – but sometimes, prices can skyrocket quickly.

The YouTuber explained that to replace an air strut on a Bentley Continental costs $2,000, and with four to cater for, that’s a hefty sum of $8,000.

However, he did replace them for $1,500 by installing adjustable coilovers, and with an additional $1,500 in installation costs, his total came to $3,000.

“$3,000 in the most notorious issue with the Bentley Continental has been solved,” he explained when talking about the maintenance costs.

However, if the engine were to pack up, the creator explained that he would simply be ‘finitoed’.
