The Ford Bronco Sport is often dismissed by critics as little more than a dressed-up Escape, but one Pennsylvania man is having none of it.

Tired of the internet calling his SUV a glorified grocery-getter, TikToker Zach (@zk_v10) posted a video explaining why he thinks that take is wrong.

In his view, the Bronco Sport Badlands isn’t just a fashion statement, but a capable off-roader with real utility.

But as with anything on the internet, not everyone agrees.

Fighting for the Ford Bronco Sport

Zach previously made a video on how he may have made a big mistake trading in his Lexus GX460 for the Ford Bronco Sport.

Clearly, he has changed his mind since then, since he’s now a cheerleader for the Ford SUV.

His video is a direct response to a common online jab: “It’s an Escape with +5k tacked on.”

Standing proudly in front of his Bronco Sport, he runs through a list of upgrades he believes justify the vehicle’s price tag and off-road credentials.

From lifted suspension and all-terrain Falken Wildpeak tires to unique interior touches and GOAT (Goes Over Any Terrain) modes, Zach says these are functional differences.

Of course, the GOAT mode won’t really help the Ford Bronco Sport if you drive it over fresh concrete, so do be careful about that.

He also shows off the rear diff lock, four-wheel drive lock, and downhill assist, which are all features that are absent on a standard Escape.

Then there’s the extra storage, modular lightweight load-carrying equipment (MOLLE) panels, and a 700-pound capacity roof rack that he’s confident wouldn’t come on a typical Escape.

The biggest difference, in his opinion, is under the hood: a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine that usually requires a higher trim Escape to access.

“I paid $34,000 for this, and just the engine alone kind of makes it worth it,” he said.

Online comments are mixed

Zach wraps up his defense by pointing to YouTube videos showing the Bronco Sport taking on real trails, sometimes even outperforming its larger Bronco sibling.

“This thing is actually extremely capable,” he said. “Even if it is $5,000 more, which it’s not”.

The comments section, naturally, turned into a digital tug-of-war.

Some users praised his points, saying most drivers don’t need a full rock-crawler.

Others weren’t buying it; a person claiming to be a Ford engineer said it’s ‘basically an Escape with minimal differences’.

Still, Zach’s message resonated with plenty of Bronco Sport owners who just want to enjoy their SUVs in peace, without constantly being told they made the wrong choice.

In any case, his newfound loyalty to the Ford SUV makes a lot of sense, as data shows that Ford drivers are the most likely to stay loyal to their car brand. The post Pennsylvania man tired of being mocked for driving Ford Bronco Sport explains why it’s perfectly fine appeared first on Supercar Blondie.
