Stellantis and Ram have announced a new, 10-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty on all new vehicles and pickup trucks.
The company has called this ‘America’s best’ powertrain warranty, as it looks to give customers as much peace of mind as possible.
While it doesn’t cover every aspect of Ram’s vehicles, it does cover enough of them to warrant customers taking a serious look at Ram products.
The ultimate aim, according to CEO Tim Kuniskis, is to entice as many people as possible to buy its trucks. Or at least consider them for their next purchase.

Kuniskis said that the more expansive warranty came after the company looked at the timelines of leases for new trucks.
Timelines for leasing have gone up, but so has the price of pickup trucks.
Ram wants to ensure that it does everything it can to attract as many buyers as possible.
That is ultimately the aim of its new extended warranty.
According to Kuniskis, the powertrain warranty will apply to the ‘original owner of 2026 and later model years of Ram vehicles.’
The warranty is, however, not ‘bumper to bumper,’ i.e., it doesn’t cover every part of the truck.
Instead, it covers the transfer case, driveshafts, differentials, axles, engine, and transmission.
That, however, is quite extensive, and it is a big boost over the company’s previous offering.
Before, its powertrain warranty was in line with its competitors, General Motors (GM) and Ford.
GM and Ford, along with Ram, offered warranties of five years or 60,000 miles, whichever came first.
The company has also already upgraded the warranty beyond its original aim.
Previously, Kuniskis said that it would only be offered on its light-duty pickup trucks.
Now, though, it’s going all-in and offering it on everything in its range.
This is outside of the trucks sold as part of a fleet.
Ram isn’t sure it’ll immediately see more of its vehicles and trucks on the road due to this change.
It will take time for any changes made to be seen in the figures.
But it believes it has every chance of enticing more and more people to buy something from its extensive range. The post Ram announces ‘America’s best’ powertrain warranty at 10 years and 100,000 miles on new vehicles appeared first on Supercar Blondie.
