Tesla buyer praises ‘phenomenal’ purchase process, he’s never experienced anything like it

A Tesla buyer in the US was left blown away by the ‘phenomenal’ purchasing process when ordering his brand-new Tesla from a dealership.

While clearly excited to get his hands on his new EV, TikToker Dylan Tettemer was left super impressed with the EV maker before he even got behind the wheel. 

He’s poured praise on the quick and simple buying process at the dealership. 

Dylan went on to say other carmakers should follow suit.

The Tesla buyer was a big fan of the purchasing process

Although it’s exciting, buying a new car can be a pretty overwhelming experience – some dealerships even have hidden tactics to watch out for. 

However, TikTok user Dylan Tettermer, who posts under the handle @dylantettermer, says that certainly wasn’t the case when he headed to a Tesla dealership to get a new EV. 

In a clip he posted online, he said the entire purchasing process took just 30 minutes from test drive to trade-in, and there were no high-pressure sales tactics. 

“I need to say it, because this process of buying this car has been absolutely phenomenal,” he said. “I don’t think I ever want to go to a normal dealership for the rest of my life. 

“Because the convenience and just the no-hassle experience of buying a Tesla was bar none.” 

He explained that he took an EV on a test drive and then headed back to the dealership, where the salesperson explained that he could simply complete the rest of the transaction on his phone.

The happy customer went on to say his ‘inner nerd’ was ‘just screaming’ at how straightforward the process was. 

“This is how the entire car industry should do things from now on,” he finished. 

How simple is the buying process?

Dylan isn’t wrong when he pointed out that Tesla is doing things a little differently from other carmakers.

The company uses a direct-to-consumer sales model, which means a would-be Tesla buyer is able to use an app to configure and order their new car as well as arrange finance options, all without the need to speak to a salesperson. 

It also insists on non-negotiable prices for its EVs meaning that customers don’t have to haggle.
