This Tesla Cybertruck was seen driving through a Texas lake thanks to Wade Mode, and those who were watching were blown away.

The truck is known to be able to tackle tricky terrain, like mountains and dirt tracks.

But water, and lots of it, is not an area that cars and trucks, specifically EVs, are known to venture into.

However, this truck may have just changed that narrative.

Tesla has created some of the most talked-about cars within the EV sphere.

Alongside its fleet of daily drivers, including the Model 3 and Model Y, there is one vehicle that’s talked about more than most.

It’s EV pickup, the Cybertruck, has been subject to an abundance of attention.

For example, Jake Paul got in on the action and shared a bizarre video of him fighting a Tesla Cybertruck to promote his next bout.

Plus, a New Jersey owner received a surprising response from Tesla after submitting a trade-in request.

At Supercar Blondie, we’ve seen the Cybertruck in some unusual terrains – but this one may just top the rest.

TikTok user jesusgrimaldo97 shared a video of a Cybertruck tackling a lake in Texas, and it’s safe to say that gearheads all across the world were impressed by its performance.

In the video, a silver Cybertruck was seen buried in Lake Grapevine in Texas, with the hood basically covered entirely.

No, the driver wasn’t lost. Tesla has a Wade Mode for adventures exactly like this.

“Wade Mode allows Cybertruck to enter and drive through bodies of water, such as rivers or creeks,” the company explained.

“Wade Mode must be used anytime you are driving Cybertruck through a shallow body of water, such as a river,” it went on.

And, online, after the video was reshared by dallastexas_tv and dallasmicdup, gearheads were incredibly impressed.

“Ok, that’s the first time the truck impressed me,” said one user.

“Damn them Cybertrucks are some bad ass vehicles. I want one now,” said another impressed gearhead.

“They’re gonna need a giant bowl of rice,” joked another.

So, how does that work? According to Tesla:

“Wade Mode defaults the vehicle’s ride height to Very High and protects Cybertruck for up to approximately 32 in (815 mm) of water, driving at slow speeds (1-3 mph (2-5 km/h)).

“As water depth changes, reduce your vehicle speed accordingly. Do not disable Wade Mode until your vehicle is fully out of water.”

This isn’t the first time the truck has been captured in an unusual position, either.

In fact, one Tesla owner loaded their Cybertruck up with the contents of their apartment after they needed to move, making use of the truck’s bed.

Plus, a Tesla Cybertruck drag raced a Chevy Corvette Z51 in a Californian battle with an interesting result.

For now, though, catch all the lake action below.
