A Texas artist’s custom 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air has won so many competitions that multiple car shows have had to ban it from competing.

The car belongs to Bobby Garza and has some of the most outrageous custom bodywork we’ve ever seen on a Bel Air.

The design features some incredibly intricate paintwork, as well as murals of Garza’s sons, with details like these enabling it to win so many competitions.

After so much success, the car was recently retired, and it is now on display at the Petersen Automotive Museum.

Crazy paintwork enables the Bel Air to stand out

The most notable aspect of the custom Chevrolet is its truly incredible paintwork.

Finished in blue, the Bel Air has gorgeous styling throughout the rest of its design.

This is seen running down the side of the American car.

Complementing the blue paintwork is the pinstriping, which has a glittery shine to it and incorporates white, blue, and purple.

Around the back of the Bel Air, the details take on a whole new twist.

Murals of Garza’s sons adorn the rear fins of the Chevrolet, and on the spare wheel cover at the back.

The pinstriping continues to the trunk and even accentuates the spare wheel cover itself.

The incredible finish carries on inside the Chevrolet Bel Air

Garza also ensured that the inside of the Chevrolet had an equally wild finish.

The interior is decked out in white leather, with blue accenting the seats and other parts of the car, such as the dashboard.

There are some incredibly intricate details, too.

These include the patterned chrome elements that line areas such as the dash and even the gear shifter.

That incredible detailing continues along the insides of the doors.

An upgraded digital dashboard and infotainment system have also been added to the car.

The interior also has a mural of Garza’s sons just above the center console, while we can also see them on the backs of the front seats.

Air suspension is one of the other major upgrades Garza did to the Bel Air.

Named ‘Double Trouble,’ the car won Lowrider’s Lowrider of the Year award three times in 2018, 2019, and 2021.The post Texas artist’s custom 1957 Chevy Bel Air has won so many competitions, multiple car shows have banned it appeared first on Supercar Blondie.
