Zenvo is building a junior hypercar with a naturally aspirated V10

The V12 Zenvo Aurora will soon have a ‘little brother’, a naturally aspirated V10 hypercar.

They call it ‘junior’, but this naturally aspirated V10 hypercar will still have 800 horsepower.

And the good news (or bad news, up to you) is that it won’t be a hybrid, either.

The company also said something interesting about Koenigsegg.

The reason why Zenvo wants to build a ‘junior hypercar’

Zenvo is Denmark’s answer to Koenigsegg.

These two brands have at least three things in common.

They’re both from Scandinavian countries, they both make supercars and hypercars and nothing else, and they’re both relatively small companies.

Interestingly, Zenvo chairman Jens Sverdrup said there’s one thing Koenigsegg has done that they’re not interested in.

“We are a hypercar brand,” he told Top Gear.

“There’s no ambition to start doing family cars. Something like a Koenigsegg Gemera wouldn’t be on our radar.”

Although, to be fair, it takes a huge stretch of imagination to call a 2,300-horsepower a ‘family car’.

However, the manufacturer did concede that it was thinking about a smaller supercar – or junior hypercar, as they called it – to reach a wider audience.

Sverdrup said they’re not sure whether it’s going to be a hybrid or not, but it’ll probably have a V10, and it’ll be naturally aspirated.

What’s inside their current line-up

The company currently sells two models, the V12 Zenvo Aurora and the TSR.

The TSR, which is also available as a track-friendly monster, is already out, whereas the Aurora should be here next year.

According to the Danish automaker, the Aurora will be the most powerful V12 hypercar ever made, and it’ll have 32 (!) pistons.

Top speed?

Zenvo says it’ll do 280MPH.

And nope, that’s not a typo. The post Zenvo is building a junior hypercar with a naturally aspirated V10 appeared first on Supercar Blondie.
