The Invisible House is a 220-foot-long, $18 million mirrored mansion in the California desert near Joshua Tree that blends into its surroundings thanks to a fully reflective exterior.
Not the usual aircraft graveyard you’d expect in this sort of location, it boasts a 100-foot indoor pool, 90 acres of land, and a floating master bedroom – it even has a glass guitar from Aerosmith’s lead singer, Steven Tyler.
Part of the house is suspended 55 feet above ground, with bespoke lighting and themed rooms like the ‘Boulder Suite’, featuring a stone platform bed and a glass-enclosed shower.
The home, which took seven years to build and opened in 2018, is available to rent on Airbnb for $3,000–$5,000 per night – would you want to stay there?
