After over a year of owning a Tesla Cybertruck this owner only just discovered a hidden Easter egg

A man who has owned his Tesla Cybertruck for over a year has only just noticed a hidden Easter egg that makes fun of a viral Tesla moment.

The Tesla Cybertruck was first unveiled back in 2019 and was initially set to enter production in 2021.

As we know now, things didn’t quite work out like that, and it wasn’t until late 2023 that the first deliveries were made.

One man who has owned his Cybertruck for more than 12 months has recently revealed a hidden surprise that’s a nod to the vehicle’s past.

Remember the smashing windows at the Cybertruck’s unveiling?

There aren’t many vehicle releases that garnered as much attention and publicity as the Tesla Cybertruck.

Unveiled by Elon Musk in 2019, the truck got people talking and divided opinions, largely due to its unusual design

There was also one viral moment when Tesla attempted to prove that the Cybertruck was virtually unbreakable, only to then have two windows smash when designer Franz von Holzhausen threw a metal ball at them.

And it seems that Tesla didn’t forget about that incident when it came to launching the Cybertruck.

TikToker and Tesla owner Joe Fay – or @jf.okay as he’s known on TikTok – recently revealed a neat little Easter egg that pokes fun at that exact moment.

In the clip, Fay hops into his truck and focuses on the screen, which is displaying a digital image of the truck.

He then taps on the back window several times in quick succession, and the window shatters.

In the background, the audio from the actual unveiling plays, in which you can hear gasps of surprise as the ‘unbreakable’ window broke.

Pretty funny, right?

Fay certainly seemed to think so, noting that it was interesting to see how they put the failure behind them and were happy to laugh about it more than six years on.

“When they were unveiling the Cybertruck, they failed by breaking the windows, when they tried to show they were bullet-proof, they’re just making fun of it now, six years later, with a funny Easter egg,” Fay said in the clip.

“And it took me over a year of owning the truck just to notice that.” The post After over a year of owning a Tesla Cybertruck this owner only just discovered a hidden Easter egg appeared first on Supercar Blondie.
