  • Held the Hawkeyes to a .087 batting average while recording a 0.43 WHIP
  • Earns his second Pitcher of the Week certificate, having previously been honored on April 21, 2025


FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

Hogan Denny, Indiana
Fr. — DH — Mooresville, Ind. — Mooresville HS

  • Batted .455 (5-for-11) and recorded a .538 on-base percentage as Indiana won its first road series of the season at Michigan
  • Serving as the designated hitter, collected hits in all three games and had a pair of multiple-hit games
  • Opened the series with a two-RBI performance in Thursday’s 8-7 win
  • Receives his second Freshman of the Week accolade of the year
  • His selection gives Indiana six freshman awards this season

MEN’S TRACK AND FIELD

EUGENE, Ore. – In front of a home crowd, Oregon won the Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Sunday. This is head coach Jerry Schumacher’s first men’s outdoor championship with the Ducks.
Minnesota and Wisconsin finished tied for second each scoring 81 points, while USC finished fourth with 78 points. Nebraska(76 points) rounded out the top five.

Oregon took home two individual Big Ten Outdoor titles, as Benjamin Balazs ran an 8:40.93 to win the 3,000m steeplechase and Simeon Birnbaum set a meet record of 13:31.87 to win the 5,000m.

Minnesota’s 4x100m relay team of Zion Campbell, Kion Benjamin, Aaron Charles, and Devin Augustine also set the meet record with a time of 38.54. The previous record of 38.87 was set by Minnesota in 2023, which Devin Augustine was also a member of.

WOMEN’S TRACK AND FIELD

EUGENE, Ore. – USC won the Women’s Big Ten Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday. This is head coach Quincy Watts’ first women’s Big Ten Outdoor championship with the Trojans.

Oregon was this year’s runner-up with 113 points, while UCLA finished third with 84 points. Nebraska (73 points) and Illinois (71 points)rounded out the top five.
USC took home four individual Big Ten Outdoor titles, as Samirah Moody won the 100m with a time of 11.13, Madison Whyte won the 200m with a time of 22.66and the 400m with a time of 51.40. Both the USC women’s 4x100m relay and 4x400mrelay teams took first place as well.

Oregon’s Silan Ayyildiz and Diana Cherotich each set meet records in their respective events. Ayyildiz set the 5,000m record with a time of 15:37.11,beating previous record set in 2021 by Michigan State. Cherotich set the10,000m record with a time of 32:00.48. Washington’s Amanda Moll, the Big Ten and NCAA record holder, surpassed her own previous best with a mark of15-8 ¼ (4.78m).
