An urban explorer checking out an abandoned house in the UK stumbled across a rare British-made Triumph Herald that has been out of production for decades.

The Triumph Herald was introduced back in 1959 and was in production until 1971.

By the time production ended, around half a million Triumph Heralds had been produced.

And one of them was recently discovered at an abandoned house in England.

Urban explorers often find themselves up close with all manner of old and unusual cars, like this group who unearthed this ultra-rare AC 3000ME sports car, or this man in Oklahoma who found a hovercar

Over in Oxford, in England, explorer and YouTuber Jerry Explores was checking out a house that had been left abandoned for years.

Walking about the eerie old house, it appeared as though its previous owners had left in a hurry, as many of their personal belongings and items of furniture were still around.

As Jerry picked his way through the property, he eventually discovered an old convertible Triumph Herald stashed away.

It’s unclear how old the car is, but the Triumph Herald convertible wasn’t introduced until 1960, and the nameplate went out of production in 1971.

The car had been parked for at least 15 years

Although the car hasn’t been produced in five decades, this one stayed on the road until around 15 years ago.

According to a tax disc spotted on its windshield, the Triumph Herald was last taxed in 2010, revealing that the car was most likely parked sometime around then.

And some time after that, its owners vanished, leaving the car behind.  YouTube Video

Despite the car being parked for so long and the fact that it has been completely abandoned, the Triumph Herald appeared to be in good shape.

There were no obvious signs of damage or rusting, and even the interiors looked more or less intact.

Sadly, as the car has been abandoned and the owners have seemingly moved on, it seems that the poor old Triumph won’t be getting out of the garage and back on the road any time soon.

A real shame for such a classic little car. The post Explorer finds vehicle that’s been out of production for over five decades in abandoned house appeared first on Supercar Blondie.
