Ferrari is fixing the most annoying feature of its supercars, correcting the issue on its latest models.

The company is, of course, famed for its supercars, hypercars, and sports cars, and, of course, for its rich history.

But there’s one annoying feature that has troubled Ferrari customers for a while, related to the touch controls on the steering wheels.

Now, though, the Italian marque is looking to fix that problem on its latest models and improve the driving experience.

How the most annoying feature impacts Ferrari drivers

The feature in question is the haptic touch controls on new Ferraris’ steering wheels, most notably on the SF90.

A lot of drivers have reported that they’re a real problem and can activate unwanted features while driving.

Yet a fix is now forthcoming on several of its models, thanks to the introduction of the new Amalfi.

The Italian manufacturer has stated that retrofitting the Amalfi’s feature on other supercars should be easy.

Its latest supercar boasts new, physical switches, replacing the older haptic controls.

These are located at the center of the wheel, meaning you don’t need to replace the whole thing.

While the Amalfi has this as standard, older cars can be retrofitted with the new fix.

What cars can have the steering wheel fix?

According to the manufacturer, older models, including the SF90, 12Cilindri, 296 GTB, and Purosangue SUV/FUV, can all have the fix.

As it’s only a part of the steering wheel that needs to be replaced, costs and labor time will be reduced.

Despite the buzz around this, the Italian manufacturer is keeping its cards close to its chest.

Ferrari has hinted at it being an easy fix, but has made no reference to the cost.

However, this will come as welcome news to many Ferrari owners.

Touch screen controls are not universally popular among car owners and drivers.

So, having a physical button in a car once again will come as a relief to many.

It’ll be interesting to see if any other performance car manufacturers follow suit.
