This Florida airline pilot loves his job, and it’s no wonder, given how much he earns in a year.

TikTok channel American Income got to speak to a pilot on the streets of Miami, Florida.

When this man revealed his annual income, it was no small figure.

But even beyond the hefty pay slips, this guy really loves flying through the skies.

If you thought of the world’s coolest jobs, chances are that flying an airplane would land near the top of your list.

Being a pilot can even be something of a family affair, with fathers getting to share the cockpits with their sons and daughters.

The perks that come with piloting a plane are pretty self-evident – getting to fly around the world being the most obvious.

But on top of that, you get the unbelievable experience of getting to control a plane, even if it means landing in less-than-ideal weather conditions, like this gusty landing in Philadelphia.

It’s a big job with huge responsibilities at the end of the day, so you’d expect to be paid well for it.

Well, one pilot has confirmed this is the case.

When stopped on the streets of Miami, Florida, by a TikTok channel, he wasted no time divulging his pay package.

“Depending on how much I fly, about $300,000 to $400,000 a year,” he told American Income.

That’s a whole lot of dough.

He shared some insight into the process of becoming a pilot and said that it took him four years in total to be fully qualified.

It obviously took a lot of dedication to become a pilot, so the passion is evident.

But it’s not the pay slip that makes him excited to get up for work.

“It doesn’t feel like a job,” he said.

“Best place in the world is a cockpit.

“Depending on weather or maintenance, it can [be stressful], but overall, we’re sitting up there with the best view anyone can have.

“So, it’s a pretty good gig.”

And what made him want to get into flying?

None other than Tom Cruise himself, who is renowned for his love of planes, too, and even owns a $20m flying palace.

“Top Gun was my favorite movie growing up, so I wanted to be as close to Tom Cruise as I could,” he said.

That seems as good a reason as any in our book.
