Private jets are a dream for many people.
Many celebrities use their millions to add an airplane or two to their fortune.
For example, Drake is the proud owner of a customized Boeing 767 private jet and it really is a $185 million airborne mansion.
Plus, a millionaire entrepreneur in Ghana celebrated his birthday in style by splurging on a new Bugatti and a private jet.
This man managed to get his hands on a fascinating celebrity’s private jet.
YouTuber Jimmy’s World is the proud owner of Buzz Aldrin’s former private jet.
The YouTuber is no stranger to taking a gamble on aviation purchases.
For instance, he previously bought a $19,000 engine crate from Facebook Marketplace.
This gamble, though, had a good outcome.
Buzz Aldrin was the second ever person to step foot on the moon, and he played a huge part in the US’s astronomical history.
“On July 20, 1969, Buzz and Neil Armstrong made their historic Apollo 11 moonwalk, becoming the first two humans to set foot on another world.
“An estimated 600 million people – at that time, the world’s largest television audience in history – witnessed this unprecedented heroic endeavor,” his website states.
Well, this YouTuber managed to get his hands on the NASA jet that Buzz himself previously owned and tried his hand at starting it up.
After sitting in the cockpit, he was clearly excited to start the engine up after securing it for $41,000.
Previously, he posted a video inspecting the state of the interior, but now came the all-important task of determining if the plane would be in good enough condition to fly again.
He investigated a few bits of the plane and then took the all-important step of starting it up.
And let’s just say, he wasn’t disappointed after he enlisted the help of some more power to make the jet’s inside lights really glow.
He couldn’t believe how well it started for the first time in years, and kept a close eye on all the dash in the cockpit.
He did have to shut it down and check out an issue with the hydraulic system, but overall, it was a victory.
You can catch all the action in the video below – you won’t be disappointed.
