The Opel Corsa GSE has been revealed as an 800-hp hot hatchback, an electric concept that combines the Opel Corsa platform with Opel GSE performance branding.
It uses two electric motors, a lightweight chassis, and bodywork designed for high speed.
Opel, now part of Stellantis after being sold by GM in 2017, developed the car as a design and engineering study.
With unusual proportions and standout performance figures, the hot hatchback is expected to draw attention both at the IAA show and in Gran Turismo 7.

Hot hatchback goes extreme
The Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo is based on Stellantis’ STLA Small platform.
Compared with the production Opel Corsa, the concept is lower, wider, and designed for aerodynamics.
Details include wider fenders, a large wing, and an active diffuser.
Styling references Opel’s past competition cars such as the Manta 400.
The interior has a stripped-back layout with black and yellow finishes, illuminated dashboard panels, and a slim racing seat with a six-point harness.
A head-up display and oblong steering wheel reinforce the experimental look.
The electric concept uses two motors producing 476 hp each, for a combined output of 800 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque.
Opel reports the EV hatchback has a 0–62 mph time of 2 seconds and a top speed of 199 mph.
The 82-kWh battery is paired with a curb weight of 2,579 pounds, making the hot hatchback lighter than many electric cars in its class.
It is quicker than the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N in acceleration tests.
Opel GSE steps up its game
The Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo follows other Opel GSE projects.
Earlier this year the company revealed the Mokka GSE Rally, a 280-hp electric concept aimed at off-road stages.
Both models sit within Stellantis’ strategy to use Opel GSE for experimental electric vehicles.
The Corsa GSE will debut at IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich in September.
It will also appear in the Gran Turismo World Series before being added to Gran Turismo 7 later in the year.
Presenting the car in both physical and digital form places it in front of traditional auto show audiences as well as gaming communities.
The Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo remains an electric concept.
