It’s no secret that a Porsche doesn’t come cheap.
The car brand’s incredible supercar fleet boasts lashings of power, but as you’d expect, with power and popularity, comes a hefty price too.
The cars made by the German marque are seriously impressive, in fact so much so that the Porsche 911 GT3 recently beat an American supercar to become the fastest manual at Germany’s Nürburgring.
Plus, Monaco even offers learner drivers the chance to learn how to drive in a Porsche 911, with an important reason behind the decision.
But, as with any car, they can end up a bit worse for wear after a certain age.
So, to give a Porsche a new lease of life, this guy bought a cheap one to overhaul and make right again.
YouTuber Tj Hunt bought America’s cheapest Porsche 997.2 GT3.
He previously assessed the condition of the car and concluded that some things needed to be upgraded and replaced in order for it to hit the road again safely.
“Inside and out, there’s a lot of wear,” he explained.
To get the car back up to scratch, more than a few features needed to be looked at.
A new transmission mount, engine mounts, and shifter cables were needed to get the Porsche running properly.
Once all the parts were installed after a few challenges, it was time to see if the Porsche would react well to a new shifter.
And, as luck would have it, it was a masterpiece once more.
“It feels so much better,” he remarked.
He also explained that it felt sharp and ‘made of metal’.
“The car drives wildly smoother now,” he concluded after jumping in the driver’s seat and giving it a test drive.
