Mark Zuckerberg reportedly adds record-setting $100M shadow vessel to his superyacht fleet

If you’re a billionaire, then you would of course spend like Mark Zuckerberg and build a small superyacht fleet, to which he has reportedly added a record-setting $100M shadow vessel.

To assist his already awesome massive superyacht Launchpad, Zuckerberg also purchased a shadow yacht called Wingman.

Wingman and Launchpad have reportedly been joined by yet another $100M shadow vessel that was once owned by fellow billionaire, Jeff Bezos.

The fact that this could only be used as a support vessel is crazy considering it comes with a large crane, helicopter pad and even an outdoor basketball court.

What’s Mark Zuckerberg adding to his superyacht fleet?

Mark Zuckerberg is spending some of his billions of dollars of wealth on some new luxury items like mansions, watches, and superyachts.

At the start of 2024, Zuck took delivery of a brand new megayacht called Launchpad, which came equipped with a pod observation lounge, a jacuzzi, two helipads, and a swimming pool.

For a ship as enormous as Launchpad, it needed some assistance from a shadow vessel. Because one mega-yacht isn’t good enough for the billionaire.

Buying a $100M shadow vessel

Around the same time he purchased Launchpad, Zuckerberg also got a little support vessel called Wingman. And by ‘little’, we mean quite a sizeable yacht that came in a $330 million deal with the megayacht.

However, it seems that Zuck’s superyacht family has, allegedly, grown with the purchase of a $100M shadow vessel called U-81.

U-81 can sleep eight guests in four cabins with a crew of 16, and if it looks recognizable, that might be because it used to belong to another billionaire, Jeff Bezos.

Having recently been upgraded to support yacht status, U-81 is a luxurious yacht in its own right.

The fact that it comes with a large crane, helicopter pad, and even an outdoor basketball court makes it more than just a support vessel.
