The Ferrari 512 BB gets a well-deserved clean
When the supercar was found, it was covered in dirt, moss, and mould.
But a quick and basic hosing down actually revealed the car to be in great condition.
Inside, it was dirty, but the WD Detailing team was able to get it looking almost brand new.
Everything on the 512 BB was given a good clean.
This included the engine bay, the brakes, the underbody, and even the floor mats.
At the end of all that work, the car was well and truly transformed.
And after they brought it back to life, they got to present it to the owner who was over the moon to see it in such good condition again.
The 512 BB is a Piningarina masterpiece
Designed by coachwork legend Pininfarina, the Ferrari 512 BB burst onto the scene at the 1976 Paris Motor Show.
Under the hood, it has a 5.0-liter twelve-cylinder boxer engine, producing 355hp and 332lb-ft of torque.
It replaced the Ferrari 365 GT4/BB, and it continued in production until 1981, replaced by the 512 BBi.
One of these was also recently found after being abandoned.
In total, Ferrari produced 929 examples of the 512 BB supercar, and it was very well received.
The engine was formed of two banks of six cylinders, arranged horizontally in an opposed layout.
This is what gave the car its BB name, which stood for Berlinetta Boxer.
According to Classic.com, the 512 BB is worth an average of $263,513, with the highest sale standing at $1.5 million.
It is one of the most desirable Ferraris of its time. The post Ohio detailers uncover $300,000 Ferrari 512 BB abandoned for 28 years in jaw-dropping barn find appeared first on Supercar Blondie.
