Myles Smith Confirms Details of New ‘A Minute, A Moment’ EP: ‘This Has Been a Real Labor of Love’
The British songwriter is also set to tour with Ed Sheeran across Europe this spring.

Continuing his current hot streak, Myles Smith has announced a new EP titled A Minute, A Moment.
Scheduled to arrive on May 23, it follows a huge year for the Luton-raised singer-songwriter. He was named the BRITs Rising Star winner for 2025 and is gearing up to support Ed Sheeran across a European stadium tour this summer (May 30-Sept. 9).
On April 25, Smith previewed the six-track collection with the release of lead single “My First Heartbreak.” In an Instagram post, he described his EP as “a real labour of love; months of time, care, and everything I had to give.”
Alongside the announcement, the 26-year-old also shared a poem he wrote to celebrate the news of A Minute, A Moment, and explained the story behind its title. “A moment doesn’t always look like much, but it can shift everything,” it began.
Smith’s forthcoming release follows his A Minute… EP, which contained his global smash-hit “Stargazing.” According to the Official Charts Company, the song — which has amassed more than 1.7 billion streams to date — ended 2024 as the biggest British single of the year. In recent months, meanwhile, he has appeared on major TV shows on both sides of the Atlantic, such as Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and Later… With Jools Holland.
In March, when Smith collected his aforementioned Rising Star Award during the BRITs 2025 ceremony at The O2 Arena in London, he used his acceptance speech to highlight the lack of opportunities in state schools to learn about music. Speaking directly to the U.K. government, he asked, “If British music is one of the most powerful cultural exports we have, why have we treated it like an afterthought for so many years?”
The folk-pop star’s continued efforts to try and make music education more accessible in the U.K. also landed him a spot on the TIME100 2025 list, which annually features the most influential people working in culture and politics.
Throughout the rest of 2025, Smith is set to perform a wealth of shows in Europe and Australia, as well as a one-off gig at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium in September. See the full list of dates at his official website, and check out his EP announcement below:
