Will a Cybertruck actually fit in a garage

Tesla’s hyped Cybertruck has got people talking for all types of reasons.

But there’s one thing that’s really causing a social-media buzz as we approach the launch date: its size.

From a DeLorean to a Ford-F250 people are trying anything to get a handle on it – but a new photo has shed light on its exact dimensions.

The photo posted to X, shows a Cybertruck backing into a garage.

And it reveals some practical challenges for prospective owners.

Posted by FilamStargazer it captures the EV backing into a garage in Sunnyvale, California.

Cybertruck fits into standard townhouse garage in Sunnyvale. They were very careful about backing it in, though,” the post reads.

Commenters had a giggle about the logistics of getting a driver both in and out of the door given the snug fit.

“I bet you have to squeeze out the door,” one said.

“How do you open a door to get out?”

“LOL I just installed an outdoor EV charger in anticipation of mine, I figure that it will not fit in my garage, but perhaps it might?” said a second.

“Summon in and summon out. No driver to egress,” a third said.

During Tesla’s second-quarter earnings call, Elon Musk talked about the size of Cybertruck.

He mentioned that the EV would have a length of under 19 feet.

He also stated that it would have four doors and a 6-foot bed.

“It’s designed to fit into a 20-foot garage,” Musk said.

Further, it will most likely weigh around 3.4 tons.

That’s less than the Rivian R1T and the GMC Hummer EV.
