It’s sad news today for all of us who happen to be GTA fans.
The latest instalment of the iconic Grand Theft Auto series has officially been delayed – again.
We decided to take a look at some of the series’ best cars to dampen the blow.
And we’ve found the real-life inspirations for some of the best cars in the game.

GTA V redefined the video game
When it was released in 2013, Grand Theft Auto (GTA) V changed the game – literally.
The game is set in Los Santos, a fictionalised – but highly accurate – version of Los Angeles.
It features three protagonists: Michael De Santa, Trevor Philips, and Franklin Clinton.
The game’s storyline is one that works towards the robbery of the Union Depository.
Along the way, the crew runs into the Ballas Street Gang, the Chinese Triads, and the FIB.
GTA V is widely considered to be one of the greatest video games ever made.
Within 24 hours of its release that September, the game had generated $815 million in revenue.
That equates to roughly 11.2 million copies sold – within the first 24 hours.
After three days, the game broke the $1 billion barrier for Take-Two Interactive.
This made GTA V the fastest-selling entertainment product in history.
Let’s take a look at the best cars in GTA
Naturally, we take an extremely keen interest in the cars that star in the game.
If you’re looking for a car to take to Los Santos Customs, then look no further.
Because we have the guide for the very best cars right here.
Before we get into this, you probably know already that none of the cars are officially licensed.
In fairness, we’re not sure if we’d want Trevor Phillips being associated with our car, either.
Obey 9F/Audi R8
Among the very first cars shown in the game is the Obey 9F – the fictionalised Audi R8.
One of the game’s first missions introduces you to Franklin, alongside his friend Lamar Davis.
Part of that mission involves you stealing an Obey 9F for Simeon, your car-dealer boss.
Costing $120,000 in-game, the 9F has always been a popular choice for online gamers.
It shares the R8’s real-life interior and prominent side-air vents.
However, the circular rear lights and the Ferrari 458-esque wheels differ.
Truffade Nero/Bugatti Chiron
Grand Theft Auto was always going to have to acknowledge the Bugatti Chiron.
And it does so in style with the Truffade Nero hypercar.
The in-game Nero is actually strikingly similar to the real-life Chiron.
The only real difference is the Nero’s slightly shallower headlights.
It also has a slightly higher rear exhaust that more resembles a Ford GT.
Pfister Neon/Porsche Taycan
As you’ve probably worked out, Pfister is Los Santos’ Porsche equivalent.
And the developers did a wonderful job designing the Neon.
It looks strikingly similar to the Taycan, even down to the sleek, four-door body.
The rear lights and wheels are also unmistakably Porsche, sorry, Pfister.
Buy it in-game, though, and the price is considerably higher – $1,500,000.
Dewbauchee JB 700/Aston Martin DB5
Yeah, there is absolutely no mistaking the identity of this one.
The Dewbauchee JB 700 is strikingly similar to the Aston Martin DB5.
In the mission “Deep Inside”, villain Devin Weston asks Franklin to steal the car.
It even comes with an ejector seat and dual machine guns – though they’re sadly deactivated.
You can buy this car in-game from Legendary Motorsport for just $475,000.
Ubermacht Sentinel/BMW 3 Series
The last car in our list is the Ubermacht Sentinel.
This car bears a striking resemblance to BMW’s 3 Series.
During the story mode, you may even remember using the Sentinel.
When Jimmy De Santa gets Michael’s boat stolen, you hop into the Sentinel.
Amanda De Santa’s sentinel ultimately has to be taken to LS Customs.
This is because the engine gets shot to pieces.
For just $28,000, you can buy the Ubermacht Sentinel for yourself in-game.
And there you have it! Your full guide to the best cars of GTA V.
We can’t wait until GTA VI (eventually) gets released. The post No GTA 6 yet but we found the real cars behind GTA’s most iconic rides appeared first on Supercar Blondie.
