The Mass, taking place in St. Peter’s Square in Vatican City, will also rebroadcast throughout the day on The Catholic Channel. Additionally, Fr. Dave Dwyer and Lino Rulli will also be on location providing coverage.

Pope Francis passed away on Easter Monday at the age of 88. His death was announced “with deep sorrow” by Cardinal Kevin Farrell, the Vatican camerlengo, who said in a statement that Francis died at 7:35am local time (1:35am ET). Until a new pope is chosen, Farrell will serve as the head of the Vatican.
“With immense gratitude for his example as a true disciple of the Lord Jesus, we commend the soul of Pope Francis to the infinite merciful love of the Triune God,” the statement said.
