Offensive Players of the Week
Gannon Matthews, Ohio State
Senior – Midfield – Eagle, Idaho – Major: Masters of Sport Management

  • Scored a hat trick in the win over No. 13 Michigan to clinch the Big Ten Regular Season Championship
  • All three of Matthews’ goals fell in the final six minutes as a part of Ohio State’s five-goal fourth quarter run
  • His goal with 0:54 iced the game and put Ohio State up 10-8
  • Last Ohio State Offensive Player of the Week Award: Alex Marinier (April 8, 2025)

Defensive Player of the Week
Jack McDonald, Maryland
Grad. – LSM – Rockville Centre, N.Y. – Major: Philosophy, Politics, and Economics

  • Anchored the Terps’ defense in an 11-8 win over rival Johns Hopkins
  • Recorded a team-high three caused turnovers and five groundballs
  • McDonald totaled 35 ground balls in the regular season, which is 11th best in the conference

Jack Fracyon, Penn State

  • Made 13 saves between the pipes while only allowing four goals in win over No. 19 Rutgers

  • Recorded the first goal of his career from well behind midfield
  • His goal was the first for a Penn State goaltender since 2008

Freshman of the Week
Hunter Aquino, Penn State

  • Aquino currently leads Big Ten freshmen in points

Madison Taylor, Northwestern

  • Recorded 17 points on 12 goals and five draw controls, as the No. 3-ranked Wildcats claimed a pair of victories
  • Paired six goals and a pair of assists with two draw controls in a 15-6 win at No. 13 Michigan as Northwestern clinched the Big Ten championship
  • Added six goals, three assists, and three draw controls in the Wildcats’ regular season-ending 20-12 win at Ohio State
  • Scores her seventh Offensive Player of the Week honor and sixth of the season

Midfielder of the Week
Kori Edmondson, Maryland

  • Totaled six goals, five draw controls, four caused turnovers and four ground balls in a 2-0 week for No. 7 Maryland
  • Notched three goals, caused three turnovers, and scooped three ground balls in an 8-7 win at Rutgers
  • Added her second hat trick of the week to go with four draw controls in the Terps’ 13-11 win over No. 8 Johns Hopkins
  • Nabs her sixth career Midfielder of the Week award and fifth of the season

  • Paired four caused turnovers and three ground balls in a 15-6 win at No. 13 Michigan
  • Picked up two ground balls and caused two turnovers while snagging eight draw controls and scoring a goal in a 20-12 win at Ohio State
  • Earns her sixth career Defensive Player of the Week accolade and third of the season

Freshman of the Week 
Laurel Gonzalez, Johns Hopkins
M – San Diego, Calif. – Torrey Pines

  • Paired three goals and 14 draw controls, as No. 9 Johns Hopkins split a pair of games
  • Scored a career-high two goals and controlled four draws in a come-from-behind overtime win versus Penn State
  • Recorded a goal and 11 draw controls in a 13-11 loss at No. 13 Maryland, breaking the program’s single season draw control record
  • Notches her third Freshman of the Week award

  • Batted .500 (7-for-14) while generating three home runs, eight RBI and a 1.286 slugging percentage as No. 16 Oregon took a Big Ten series from No. 9 UCLA
  • Led Big Ten players with a 1.897 OPS on the week, reaching base in 11 of 18 plate appearances
  • Connected on a grand slam at Georgetown and on Sunday broke the Oregon single-season record for home runs in a season (19); leads the NCAA in that category
  • Earns his first Big Ten Player of the Week accolade

PITCHER OF THE WEEK

  • Tossed his first career complete game in a 2-1 win over 9th-ranked UCLA on Friday evening
  • Held the Bruins to two hits and one earned run over nine innings, retiring 10 in a row from the third through six innings; retired six in a row two other times during the game
  • Struck out seven batters against one walk issued; improved to 6-1 on the year
  • The southpaw starter takes home his first Big Ten weekly honor
  • Last Duck named Pitcher of the Week: Collin Clarke (March 17, 2025)

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Will Moore, Indiana

  • Helped Indiana to a series win against Maryland, batting .500 and slugging .750
  • Produced a .692 on-base percentage, reaching base five times on Sunday and seven times for the week
  • Fielded 1.000 from the hot corner, recording nine assists and taking part in two double plays
  • Becomes four different Indiana player named Rookie of the Week this season

  • Hit a team-best .600 in a 4-0 week for Ohio State which included a win over Dayton and a sweep of Michigan
  • Finished the week with eight runs scores, four extra base hits, a 1.600 slugging percentage and a .667 on-base percentage
  • Had home runs in three consecutive games, starting vs. Dayton and continuing with one in each game of a doubleheader sweep of the Wolverines on Friday
  • Her sixth-inning two-run home run in the first game of the Friday doubleheader gave Ohio State its first lead of the game
  • Had hits in all four games and multiple hits in two games

Co-Pitcher of the Week
Lyndsey Grein, Oregon
Jr. – RHP – Mokena, Ill. – Lincoln-Way Central – Major: Psychology

  • Grein led No. 5 Oregon to a series victory against No. 6 UCLA, as well as a midweek win vs. Oregon State
  • For the week, Grein was 3-0 with a 0.00 ERA in 13.1 innings. She struck out 18 batters, walked five and allowed nine hits, limiting opponents to a .196 BAA
  • In Sunday’s rubber game of the UCLA series, Grein pitched a three-hit shutout (five innings) and struck out three
  • In the series opener on Friday, Grein threw 5.1 scoreless innings and struck out eight in the Ducks’ 3-1 win
  • Against Oregon State, Grein threw the final two innings and struck out five in the Ducks’ come-from-behind, 5-3 win

  • Recorded 27 strikeouts and a 0.91 ERA, including two complete games and one shutout
  • In her 7.0 inning performance against IU Indy, Gossett had a career-high 14 strikeouts, which tied her for fifth most strikeouts in a single game in Purdue history
  • In her 15.1 IP, Gossett surrendered just two earned runs over the week, holding opponents to a .137 BAA

Freshman of the Week
Kendra Lewis, Wisconsin

  • Lewis batted .455 (5-for-11), with two runs, a three-run home run and seven RBI
  • Slashed a .727 slugging percentage and .455 on-base percentage for a 1.183 OPS
