Who exactly is Roush, and what does it do?
If you are a car fan based in the United States, the Roush name might be familiar to you.
For those of you who aren’t, allow us to make the introductions.
Roush Performance is an automotive company based in Livonia, Michigan.
It produces and develops high-performance components for cars.
This work is done for both street and competitive racing applications.
The firm was founded in Michigan in 1995 by Jack Roush.
Roush is the owner of Roush Fenway Keselowski (RFK) Racing in NASCAR.
As a team owner, Roush currently has two NASCAR Cup titles to his name.
The first came when driver Matt Kenseth won the Cup in 2003.
NASCAR legend Kurt Busch would win the Cup in 2004 to see the team go back-to-back.
His RFK team also has 283 wins and 212 poles to its name since entering NASCAR.
Performance marque unleashes F-150 Nitemare
Recently, Roush decided to get its hands on the new Ford F-150.
And when we say it’s had a makeover, we mean it’s had a serious makeover.
For example, the Nitemare F-150 has lowered the pickup by three inches in the front.
It has also lowered the rear of the pickup by five inches.
Roush’s F-150 package also adds a blackout front grille.
This blacked-out grille is made more menacing by the addition of amber front lights.
The front has also been sculped to include Roush hood vents for extra airflow.
The Michigan brand also added its own 22-inch alloy wheels to the slammed truck.
Prices range quite a bit – depending on which F-150 spec you choose.
The Roush Nitemare design package starts at $19,999 and does not include the base vehicle.
Choosing the F-150 XL pickup with the regular cab costs $39,445.
An F-150 XLT SuperCrew has a starting price of $50,050.
Ultimately, that means paying a minimum of $59,444 to get your hands on the Nitemare.
We have to say, it is an extremely cool, slammed pickup truck. The post Roush brings back the F-150 Nitemare — a dream truck Ford should have built itself appeared first on Supercar Blondie.
