Some particularly impressive footage of a tractor-pulling competition was shown at the launch event.
And it seems like Elon Musk was right: this thing is a beast.
Tesla recently shared a video of a Cybertruck taking on a Porsche 911 in a drag race.
This proved that the car was fast, but what about its much-talked-about strength?
Musk recently shared footage of a test some Tesla engineers had run.
They challenged some of the most powerful trucks in the US to a tractor-pulling competition.
The Cybertruck took on the Ford F-150 Lightning, Rivian R1T, and the Ford F-350.
All the vehicles pulled a self-propelled sled that weighed 35,000 pounds as far as they could.
What makes this kind of competition tough is that the sled pulls itself backwards as the trucks surge forward.
The cars were judged on how long and far they could pull before succumbing to the sled’s propulsion and coming to a halt.
First, the Ford F-150 Lightning traveled 207 feet, while the F-350 reached 263 feet.
The Rivian R1T came second, gaining 257 feet before having to stop.
Lastly, the Cybertruck stepped up to the plate.
Tesla’s offering managed to reach the end of the tractor pull, traveling an impressive 318 feet.
To ensure fair competition, all of the trucks used were fresh from the factory floor.
The electric models were fully charged and every vehicle used its stock equipment.
It’s worth noting that of all the cars tested, the Cybertruck was the lightest.
The fact that it still left the other models in the dust just goes to show how powerful the car is. The post Tesla releases impressive footage of Cybertruck winning tractor pull test against EVs appeared first on Supercar Blondie.
