George Foreman’s iconic 1995 convertible Ford Mustang is up for sale
There’s a whole lot to love about this stunning car.
Right off the bat, it belonged to the legendary George Foreman.
In his 76 years of life, he was a lot – a professional boxer, a businessman, a minister, and an author.
Oh, and he’s also the namesake for a grill.
When he wasn’t winning gold medals at the Olympics or smashing heavyweight championships, he enjoyed this stunning Ford Mustang.
It evidently didn’t get much time on the road before Foreman’s passing in March of this year, with only 728 miles on the odometer.
The Mustang was given to Foreman as part of a promotional campaign by Saleen, and it was one of 42 made in 1995.
And it’s even rarer than that – of the 42 produced, only eight were Canary Yellow and only four of those were convertibles.
Fittingly, Saleen’s slogan is ‘Power in the hands of a few’.
For those not in the know, Saleen Automotive has been enhancing Mustangs since 1984.
Originally, the company started out with racing cars, but had moved on to street-legal cars by the 1990s.
This particular car is fitted out with $57,000 worth of enhancements, including a high-flow exhaust system, a 5.8-liter supercharged V8, and much more.
The interior is decked out in beautiful black leather, with Saleen-Recaro bucket seats and embroidery on the backrest.
The car also comes with an original-issue Ford window sticker signed by Steve Saleen himself, alongside title documentation authenticating Foreman’s ownership.
Where you can buy this beautiful car
The car is located in Seattle, Washington, and has received 10 bids at the time of this article being written.
There’s just under a week left on this car’s auction, and the highest bid is currently $38,000.
If you want to own a little bit of Foreman’s legacy, visit SBX Cars to place a bid.
