This $300,000 flying jet ski lifts off from both land and water.
Then when you’re done, the wings fold in minutes, it hitches to your car, and it parks like an SUV.
Drive it to the lake, launch it, fly, land, take a swim, repeat.
Meet the ICON A5.

How does a $300,000 plane work like a flying jet ski?
The A5 is amphibious.
Roll it down a road or nose it into a lake, give it 800 feet and you’re airborne.
It’s California-born and built for people who hate airports.
No check-ins, no hangars, no ‘sir, remove your shoes.’
Just roll up and go.
And it loves a party trick. Get this: the wings fold.
All it takes is one person and 90 seconds – suddenly it’s trailer-sized.
Hook it to your car, haul it home, and park it next to the lawn mower.
Aviation without the drama.
And to make is even less dramatic, it’s even safer than your run-of-the-mill jetski or light plane.
The frame’s designed not to spin out, and if things go sideways there’s a parachute that lowers the whole craft back to earth.
Wild fun, but with a safety net.
The ICON A5 is going global
ICON didn’t want to build a status jet.
The A5 is about play.
Light, easy to handle, and cheaper to keep running than your typical hobby plane.
Now it’s gone global too.
The FAA has signed off on a certified edition, which means buyers outside the US can finally get their hands on one.
And you don’t even need to be a pilot yet.
ICON runs training camps just for this aircraft.
No velvet ropes, no exclusive clubs.
Just an excuse to turn the sky into your playground.
