Before the Qatari royals gave the USA the $400 million Boeing 747, they had some specific uses for it.

The plane was revealed as the new Air Force One in recent weeks.

It was gifted by the royals in Qatar to the President of the United States.

But it had a busy past in its prime.

It’s no secret that the rich, famous, and royals love all things luxury.

From huge sprawling superyachts to private jumbo jets, the opportunities are often endless.

For example, the Sultan of Brunei has a thing for cars, which is evident with his $14 million gold-plated Rolls-Royce Silver Spur II.

Plus, rapper Lil Wayne was gifted a Lamborghini and a $25k watch from a Saudi Royal Prince – talk about Lavish.

But, one gift from Qatari royals to the US President may just top it all, and it had a rather indulgent use.

The Qatari royal family gifted one of their planes to the president of the US to be used as the new Air Force One. And it’s clear to see that it’s a thing of beauty.

Inside, as you’d expect, the interior is decked out to meet any king or queen’s needs. There are high-tech entertainment systems and many rooms to choose from.

From a private lounge, luxury carpets, an office, to a bedroom, and even a conference room – the plane really has it all.

And, before it was gifted to be used as Air Force One, it was used to ferry the Qatari royals to engagements worldwide,, with previous passengers including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim Jaber Al Thani.

In 2023, it transferred ownership and changed registration, but it was withdrawn from use and parked on an island just off the UK.

Before that, though, it was also reportedly used for transporting royals on holiday. Imagine not having to queue up at check-in and wait for hours at airport security!

However, to meet the standards for its new missions, a significant amount of conversion will be required.

In fact, it is estimated to cost over one billion dollars for the rebuilding and disassembly of the Boeing 747-8. The post Before Qatari royals gave USA $400M Boeing 747 to replace Air Force One, this is what they used it for appeared first on Supercar Blondie.
