Brit living in America spoke about the one thing he can’t get his head around while driving in the USA

This Brit living in America explained that there’s one thing he cannot get his head around while driving in the USA.

Across the pond, driving on the opposite side of the road isn’t the only thing that gearheads do differently.

The content creator explained that he’d been living in the country for four months and still finds himself getting confused when it comes to hitting the road.

And, after finding out what was blurring the lines, other Brits couldn’t agree more.

This Brit revealed how driving in the USA can be confusing

Across the pond in the UK, motoring laws and quirks are slightly different than driving in the USA.

From different car cabin layouts to even driving on the opposite side of the road, things can get interesting for visitors when they get behind the wheel.

This Brit moved stateside just four months ago. And he got candid, revealing the factors that he struggled with when trying to get from A to B.

Content creator harleythebrit explained that his mind is sometimes swamped when it comes to figuring out how gas stations work.

“One thing I always have to remember is [that] the American gas stations are a different color pump than we have in England,” he explained.

“What I mean by that is that in America, your green pump is diesel, [and] your gas pump is [a] black handled pump, in the UK, that is the other way round.”

And, the Brit living in America isn’t wrong about driving here.

At UK petrol stations, the pumps are different colors, and different options are available at the pumps too.

“I’ve been here four months but still have to remind myself and just double-check what I’m putting into my truck,” he said.

Online, people agreed about the difference when driving in the US

After the Brit living in America shared the big difference when driving in the USA, other expats couldn’t have agreed more.

“I still check every time I put petrol in my car, and I’ve lived in the US 9 years,” said one user.

“And you’ve got to pay for the fuel BEFORE you fill your tank! BIZARRE!” said another person in agreement.

“Some pumps in the US have diesel as black and gas green….seen some in the northwest …rare,” said one social media user.

Similar to the Brit in the USA, one American man decided to take on the challenge of taking a UK driving test after having no lessons to see if there was a chance that he could pass.
