Cybertruck owner took it to a Tesla shop with 26,000 miles on the clock, then drove home with zero

This Tesla owner was left bewildered when he took his beloved Cybertruck to a Tesla shop with 26,000 miles on the clock, but ended up driving a ‘Cyberbaby’ home with zero.
The EV owner, who didn’t expect his Cybertruck to come back from it’s spa day completely changed, took to a Cybertruck owner’s forum to reveal what happened.
It looks like this was an honest mistake on behalf of the Tesla shop, because intentionally resetting an odometer is fraud according the the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
He said he was worried about his EV forever being a TMU (True Mileage Unknown) and described his Cyberbeast as coming home from its spa day as a ‘newborn with a lazy eye and a missing limb’.

This man’s Cyberbeast was suffering from a fate that befalls many of these Tesla EVs: the dreaded panel misalignment.
Not only did his truck’s panels need realigning, he also needed a new light bar installed, so he decided to take his EV to a Tesla shop to get it seen to.
After dropping off his beloved Cyberbeast, the alarm bells started to ring when his scheduled pick-up day was pushed back.
Writing in a Cybertruck owner’s forum, he told fellow Tesla owners that when he got to the shop, his phone would no longer connect to the vehicle and the trim was dangling from under the glove box.
This was only the start of his problems, as the brand-new lightbar had been installed asymmetrically, a loose bolt was found in the tailgate and a trim panel hadn’t been attached properly.
The owner described his Cyberbeast as looking like it was ‘smiling sideways at everyone,’ due to the wonky lightbar.
The weirdest part of all was that the Tesla shop had inexplicably reset the odometer.
The Cyberbeast had gone in with 26,000 miles and come out with zero.
As a result, the frustrated owner said he was worried about his Cybertruck being seen as a TMU (True Mileage Unknown).
“My CyberBeast went in for a spa day and came back a newborn — with a lazy eye and a missing limb,” he said.
The hilariously documented experience would be frustrating for anyone, but at least the owner seems to be facing the inexplicable mileage rollback and other issues with some humor.
