Despite over 100 questions from investors about the Cybertruck it wasn’t mentioned on Tesla’s earning calls

It looks like a certain EV has become a bit of a trucksona non grata when, despite over 100 questions from investors about the Cybertruck, it wasn’t mentioned at all during Tesla’s earnings calls.

Once hailed as the most cutting-edge and innovative vehicle in America, the Tesla Cybertruck has suddenly fallen victim to much corporate rug-sweeping.

The Cybertruck’s fall from grace is fascinating, considering that only a year ago, celebrities were falling over themselves to get their hands on the shiny chrome electric pickup truck.

It seems like Tesla is moving away from the focus on the automotive side of its business and is instead focusing on other ventures like the Optimus robot, robotaxis, and the retro-futuristic Route 66 diner.

The Cybertruck wasn’t mentioned on Tesla’s earnings calls

Things aren’t looking great for Tesla on its most recent earnings call, and the EV and robotics manufacturer is looking at a rough few quarters.

However, despite the Tesla Cybertruck once being the jewel in Tesla’s crown, it has recently become the victim of corporate rug-sweeping at the earnings meeting.

It feels like a giant fall from grace that in just one year, the Cybertruck has gone from being America’s most cutting-edge vehicle to barely being mentioned by its own manufacturer.

It was mentioned in passing, but only to inform shareholders that Tesla can produce 125,000 units every year, but it’s not clear whether Tesla should, especially as it’s been lapped by Chinese EV manufacturer BYD.

Tesla investors submitted over 100 questions about the EV

Despite over 100 questions about the Cybertruck being submitted to Tesla for answers, making it the fourth most asked about topic, Tesla didn’t seem to want to mention it.

But that may be because they’re struggling to shift stock.

Tesla dealerships are overrun with unsold Cybertrucks, but the automaker finds its focus shifting to its other, currently more fruitful ventures.

The focus seemed to be on the Tesla Optimus Robot and the driverless robotaxis currently cruising the streets of Texas.

In just a year, the electric pickup’s popularity has plummeted, so only time will tell whether the robotaxis, Optimus robot, or even the new Tesla diner will be as brief and sparkling as the once-heralded Cybertruck.
