Incredibly rare Aston Martin DBZ pairing could fetch $4.5 million at auction

You might remember the Aston Martin DBZ collection that was unveiled in October 2019.

This collection saw a modern V12 grand tourer paired with a beautiful recreation from years gone by.

Only 19 pairings were ever created, with deliveries of the pairing beginning at the start of 2020.

Now, one such Aston Martin DBZ pairing is expected to fetch up to $4.5 million at auction.

Aston Martin DBZ pairing blends past and present

This Aston Martin DBZ pairing is one of the most unique offerings by any supercar brand.

Aside from the uniqueness of the package, a big factor in its appeal is its rarity.

Aston Martin has, since 2019, produced just 19 units of its DBZ pairing.

Upon initial release in early 2020, the British brand charged an eye-watering $8 million for the pair.

Now, the Aston Martin DBZ pairing is making waves for a different reason.

Broad Arrow Auctions is planning to auction one of the 19 pairings at the Monterey Jet Center Auction in August.

And the company is estimating that a classily-optioned pairing could sell for as much as $4.5 million.

It appears that the DB4 GT Zagato Continuation is the real showstopper of the collection.

It is certainly not as powerful or as fast as its DBS GT Zagato twin, the retro grand tourer is truly unique.

This particular example took over 4,500 hours to build, and it has just 63 miles on the odometer.

It is also upholstered in Connolly Blue leather, and also comes with an Obsidian Black dashboard, carbon buckets and a motorsport-style harnesses.

DBS GT Zagato provides the power for the pair

The second part of the pairing is equally as impressive as the first.

To compliment the retro, 1960s grand tourer style, Aston Martin included a DBS GT Zagato.

Unlike the DB4 GT Zagato Continuation, the DBS GT Zagato is firmly focused on performance.

Aston Martin claims that the twin-turbocharged, 5.2-liter V12 engine produces 760bhp.

This allows for a reported 0-60 time of just 3.4 seconds.

And it also provides a reported top speed of around the 211mph mark.

At the time of listing, the DBS GT Zagato had slightly more miles on its odometer.

Somebody has at least briefly enjoyed the DBS GT Zagato to the tune of 227 miles on the odometer.

If this one-of-19 collection is something you might be interested in, then take note.

Because this Aston Martin DBZ pairing is going under the hammer in August.

It will be up for sale at the Monterey Jet Center Auction in August.

And, if you have a spare $4.5 million to spend, why not spend it on this? The post Incredibly rare Aston Martin DBZ pairing could fetch $4.5 million at auction appeared first on Supercar Blondie.
